About Mission Wylie

This summer, Waterbrook students have a chance to be a unique local mission trip. On June 2, several Wylie churches will gather together at First Baptist Wylie to start a week long mission adventure within our city. During the week students will be serving local kids and families through construction projects, food pantries, homeless shelter and so much more. Mission Wylie is for any student who has completed 6th grade through 12th grade.

Dates: June 2 - June 6

Trip Details

On Sunday night, June 2, students will check-in at FBC Wylie where we will be staying for the week. Housing will take place at FBC Wylie (different buildings for opposite genders) and will include showers and sleeping arrangements based on church groups. Every night students will join together for dinner, worship and a message as a group.

During the week, students will be broken into service groups that match up kids from various churches based on their service interest levels and needs (this will be explained more after registration). On Monday - Wednesday, students and adults will head out to serve in the morning at their various worksites. Service opportunities will include a variety of things including local construction projects, nursing home visits, homeless ministry in Dallas and more. Meals for the week will be provided by local churches. Be on the look out later for information regarding Waterbrook's day to serve for a meal. On Thursday, students and adults will head to Hawaiian Falls to relax and have some fun to end the week. After returning Thursday afternoon to First Baptist Wylie, parents will be able to pick up their student.

If you have any questions about the trip, please contact John Robbins (214.797.7020)!
